Dr. Rajat Goswamy has been performing IVF techniques since 1982.
He is the pioneer of vaginal ultrasound in the UK and also performed the first ultrasound directed egg collection procedures, initially using abdominal ultrasound and later using vaginal ultrasound techniques. He is known for his thoroughness in the investigation of causes of infertility.
He initially set up IVF Centres at King's College Hospital, London and the Hallam Medical Centre. He then worked as Deputy Medical Director under Patrick Steptoe in Cambridge from 1985 to 1988.
He is a frequent speaker at international meetings on topics relating to infertility, IVF, ultrasound and minimally invasive surgery, using laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. He has trained many specialists worldwide, and published extensively in the last 18 years.
From 1989 to the beginning of 1999 he was Medical Director of the Churchill Clinic in London which became one of the most successful centres for treatment and training in IVF and ultrasound techniques.
Since May 1999 the Harley Street Fertility Centre (HSFC) has become a successful and reputable centre with the latest ultrasound technology providing three dimensional images to increase diagnostic ability and four dimensional images to provide more sophisticated monitoring of high risk pregnancy.

Géraldine has been with HSFC since February 2003.
She studied and trained at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, where she qualified as a Registered Nurse (with a specialisation in Psychiatry) and Midwife.
On her return to Mauritius, she worked at Clinique Lorette where she was managing the Medical Ward as well as the Maternity department, and was involved in the training of student nurses.
After a brief spell in South Africa in early 2011, and maternity leave, she re-joined HSFC in October 2011.
She is the Fertility Centre Manager and is responsible for organising, directing, and evaluating the operations of the Centre, as well as ensuring high patient care standards, and promoting team work.
She has gained many years of experience, working with Dr Goswamy and is his right-hand person, and the first line of contact for international web enquiries.
She can assist with any query and uses her empathy to promote a comprehensive service, with a caring and supportive shoulder.
Cynthia is from Seychelles and moved to Mauritius in 2005.
She worked at Fortis Clinique Darné for 5 years, where she was Ward Manager and often the Nurse -in- charge for the surgical wards.
She joined our team, when Geraldine left for South Africa and Maternity leave in February 2011, to explore new and challenging avenues, and further her skills in Fertility nursing.
She has become an integral part of our team and ensures coordination between the lab, nursing and clinical issues for patients.
Always willing, and caring, Cynthia will help and guide you to make your treatments less stressful and a pleasant experience.
Nisha joined the HSFC team in October 2008.
Born and brought up in Mauritius, Nisha went to Delhi University where she graduated with a B.Sc in Biochemistry. She followed this with a Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
Having worked in a tissue-culture laboratory in London, to gain further experience, she returned home to Mauritius in 2005 and took up employment in a company involved in Medical research.
However, she was interested in clinical and practical laboratory work, which prompted her to join HSFC.
She has been trained in all aspects of Andrology and Embryology by our Senior Embryologist Dr Manab Sarma, and also manages the blood lab, and Embryo and Sperm storage facilities in our lab.
Nisha is a dedicated scientist, and team player, who enjoys the scientific aspect and the clinical patient contact while working in this field of Assisted Reproduction.
Sweety joined the Harley Street Fertility Centre (HSFC) in February 2009.
She is the first point of contact at the Centre, and has excellent communication skills which she uses whilst staffing the reception desk.
Booking appointments and keeping Dr Goswamy’s agenda, assisting with general queries, making sure that patients are directed to the right department.
She is an enthusiastic member of the team, providing warm welcome and assistance to all visitors.
Mr. Udayakiran Doradla, M Sc, completed his Master’s degree, in Biotechnology from Sri Venkateshwara University, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 2008.
He was initiated and trained in Andrology and basics of Embryology from Madras Medical Mission Hospital, Chennai in 2009. He then joined Gitanjali Fertility Centre, Hyderabad, to further his experience in Embryology.
He joined the team at Harley Street Fertility Centre, Mauritius in February 2012 and trained in advanced embryology and Pre-implantation aneuploidy screening of embryos. After an excellent 5 years in Mauritius he returned to India in 2017 to take up employment as Chief Embryologist in a multicentre Fertility facility, known as Indira IVF, working in Udaipur and Hyderabad.
He has now returned to Mauritius to join our team as Chief Embryologist and further expand our services in in the Laboratory.
Davina studied at Williams college, London for one and a half year. She was awarded an Advanced Diploma in Health Care administration in August 2007.
She also holds a Diploma in General nursing from the University of Mauritius, 2013.
She worked as a specialist Nurse in Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU for 4 years at Appollo Bramwell Hospital Mauritius, before joining our team in 2016.
She has been trained as a Fertility Nurse Specialist by Cynthia and is now an integral part of our team.
